Chef Yahya

Yahya brings to East a childhood passion for cooking developed in his parents’ restaurant in Syria. With a background in Levantine cuisine gained in five-star hotels in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and the UAE, he draws on his travel experiences and memories for inspiration.

His belief that basic ingredients – salt, oil and water – are the foundation of great food gives his dishes an authenticity and joy that can be felt throughout the restaurant. He finds real satisfaction in making guests happy through his food, and strives to create an esteemed restaurant known for best-in-class, healthy and life-enhancing gastronomy.
